Melvin Weatherspoon

Melvin is a hardworking father of four, and works as a Detail Manager at Ricart Chevrolet in Dublin, Ohio. He is a Guys With Ties Leader, and works with schools all throughout Columbus. Melvin also works with the Friday Night Lights Youth Football camps, coaching young student athletes to be the best version of themselves both on and off the field. To him, going "Beyond The Game" can be summed up in one quote- "Changing Boys to Men one pass, one catch, one kid at a time!"
BACKGROUND
Melvin is a former high school football player at Canton McKinley Senior High School in Canton, Ohio, and played football in college at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He grew up in a sports loving football family where it isn't just a sport, it's a way of life. He carries on his love for all things football by coaching his son's flag football team, as well as working with Beyond The Game's Friday Night Lights Youth Football Camps. Melvin understands what it means to be a football player, and coaches young athletes to not only succeed in the game, but also life.
